A high quality combination knife for your favorite gourmet

The Opinel knife is named after the Opinel family from the Savoie region in the heart of the French Alps. In 1890, Joseph Opinel invented a small folding knife that would eventually become a must-have item of French “savoir-vivre”. It’s now considered a design icon throughout the world. Skip forward a hundred and some years and the brand offers a range of high quality knioves for a variety of use.

The Opinel No 10 would make a great gift for the cheese and wine lover in your life; the sample copy we received to review was equally sturdy and attractive. The safety ring in particular is a nice feature, locking the blade in place for picnics or hiking trips; also locking the blade in place when the corkscrew is extended to prevent any slips and accidents.
